  1. For reasons I won't take the time to list I prefer to use my AWI Radeon card to capture in DVD (720x480) format. Then I convert to VCD or DxiX or whatever. My workhorse program for these conversions has been FlasK which is fast and simple to use. I recently converted to Windows-xp with NTFS formatting so I could capture longer segments using the ATI TV-tool with file sizes in excess of 4 gig. Capturing is no problem but conversion is.

FlasK v5.94-Intel doesn't seem to want to recognize mpeg-2 files larger than 4 gig. So I need soneone to recommend programs that will convert or frame-serve mpeg-2 files larger then 4 gig? Incidently, I think my 4+gig files are not corrupted because the Window's Media File Player has no problem playing them.

  2. hi there,

    that's a unique problem.

do the mpegs load into powerdvd?

    yes?

how about powerripper? That used to use powerdvd's overlay to convert.

    Just a thought.
