  1. I'm using Memorex DVD+R dl 8.5 gig discs, DVD decrypter to burn ISO files created by DVD decrypter and/or DVD shrink.
I run Vista 64, 8 gigs of ram, ISO images come off of Seagate 1 TB 7200rpm internal drive. Burner is an NEC ND-3550A with original firmware.

If I backup a store bought DL disk to the HD with a size of 7.5 gigs I should be able to burn it to a blank DL disk with no modifications. If I try, the disc burns but when verifying it comes up wit errors.

The only way it verifies is if I shrink the original it to under 7 gigs. Then it burns and verifies no problem.

The errors also occurs if I try to use nero to burn data that is over 7gigs to a disc that can hold 8.5 gigs

I can't understand why I couldn't use the full disc without read errors?
Is it the discs? Is it the burner?
    Any Ideas?

Use imgburn to burn with, and use Verbatim DL discs.

  3. I will try it. I heard Verbatim discs are better.

So the issue is with the limitation of DVD decrypter 3.5.4.0 AND the Memorex discs at the same time?

I'm curious as to what exactly causes this issue?
Why would it also happen with Nero?

My Bad - not so much a limitation with DVD Decrypter as Imgburn is still updated. Mainly the discs could be the problem.
