  1. Hello all, I seem to be having trouble with tmpgenc when I try converting my 700 divx file to mpeg. When I fix all the settings I click on start to convert the avi to mpeg and when its halfway done I stopped it and when I tried viewing the file, there was no sound. The video however was perfect. Question, is it possible to ONLY convert the video to mpeg and then extract the audio after and dub it over the mpeg? Another question, when I stopped the file, it was about the first 45mins of the movie and it was 1.4gb!!! If i did the whole movie it would be 2.8gb! I myself dont plan on putting a regular 100min movie onto 4 CDs!! HELP! I'm sorta new but I seem to be getting the just of this thing.

try and process the audio through virtual dub. just select "direct stream cop" for video, and "full processing mode" for audio. then save the avi. then encode it through tmpgenc. jus use the bitrate calculator to make ur settings right. virtual dub fixed all of my audio problems that i have had
