Hi,
I am having problems exporting footage from premiere6 back to DV. The files capture fine and making a hard copy on my drive it all looks great. But when I start to export I get horrid digital breakups and stutters on the DV tape in the camera every 4 seconds or so, I have no idea what could be causing this other than maybe lack of memory or cpu?? The system I am running is win98se 128mb amd athlon with well over 20gigs free on the drive. Any ideas would be welcomed.
the footage is watchable but just with stutters so not very professional

Go to Project-> Project Settings -> General -> Playback Settings and turn off Playback on Desktop.
They system needs to take all the resources to go out to DV and not produce a copy on the monitor. This should fix it! -
Thanks for the suggestion. Have tried this but still no luck! any other ideas or reason welcomed.
It seems to play fine in the preview just when the camera is trying to record it does it all go jerky -
Gee, it sounds exactly like what happens when you try to monitor on the desktop while outputting to tape. I would suggest you post the same problem on the adobe forum.
