  1. Hi
I wanted to convert mkv file to avi and I found out that very good program is Alltoavi. I installed CCCP (Combine Comunity Codec Pack) and installed the program and when I tried to convert .mkv file everything went nice. Perfect quality of video but not sound at all. I don't have any idea what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong. I try couple times with different files and the same (no sound)
Can someone help me and give me so advice what to do ?
    Thanks in advance

You could try AVIDemux instead, or for greater control, do it in several steps:
    - demux mkv with MKVToolnix
    - index with DGAVCDec (if H264/AVC)
    - frameserve with AviSynth
    - use VirtualdubMod to encode to Divx (use free Xvid codec)

When will people listen to 99% of the population and STOP installing codec packs?
