  1. Hi
I wanted to convert mkv file to avi and I found out that very good program is Alltoavi. I installed CCCP (Combine Comunity Codec Pack) and installed the program and when I tried to convert .mkv file everything went nice. Perfect quality of video but not sound at all. I don't have any idea what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong. I try couple times with different files and the same (no sound)
Can someone help me and give me so advice what to do ?
    Thanks in advance

    P.S.
When I start program (Alltoavi) always there is very loud music and I don't know how to switch it off. Can someone tell me how? PLEASE !!!!

Drop the AllToAVI file into MediaInfo and see if it shows any sound. Sometimes the output sound isn't compatible with your playback device/program.

If there is no audio there, then check the MKV file with the same program and see what audio format it has. You can post both results here. (Screenshots of both are good.)

Alltoavi probably doesn't support dts audio. So try instead a tool that has been updated this year...like Handbrake, load the mkv, choose avi and convert. Other tools you can try are format factory, any video converter free, winff.
