Hi guys, i got a big problem, when i try to demux a recorded show with PVAStrumento in order to cut the comercials with Mpeg2Cut the audio get out of sync, the problem is with the demuxing program because i demuxed the same file with DGIndex and it went ok, but the Mpeg2Cut only opens the files that come out of PVAStrumento so can't edit the video, someone can help me with this? The source file it's an MPEG2 video recorded with a VisionPlus 1020A.

You can try ProjectX. I use that to cut commercials and demuxing so then there is no need to use Mpeg2Cut. I know the user interface of ProjectX may feel confusing but once you understand how to do it then it is very easy.

I've had that issue a long time ago with PVAStrumento. VideoReDO seemed to be the best, but it's not free. If you do a lot of mpeg2 captures, the program is well worth the price.

Cutterman is another program that I've had good success with.

Edit - it's not Cutterman it is Cuttermaran
Linux _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.

  4. Not usre I understand your process, MPG2Cut does not require demuxed files. PVAStrumento seems to do some odd things to the files to "correct" certain issues, this is probably where the problem is happening. When you say this is the only output the editor accepts, you just haven't tried enough other options.

Demux and Remux with something else, you may need to try several different progs before finding something that works.

I have been using MPG2cut2 (newer version) to cut captured files for years, from different capture cards. Never had an issue.
