  1. I have a buch of .divx files (the file extention and format, not just the codec) that I want to convet to XviD avi's. I've tried AutoGK but the sound goes out of sync, and XviD4PSP crashes halfway through conversion. Anyone know of a good program to convert these?

    Those codecs are so similar to each other, unless those DivX files were transcoded with very recent versions of the DivX codec, all you need to do is change the file extension from .DIVX to .AVI, then change the internal codec descriptor in the files with an app like this:

    You have to type in the word XVID in each field


    Should take all of 30 seconds to do
