  1. I've searched high and low for a way to convert my avi files to SMV, using the usual Video2SMV variants and have had no luck whatsoever.

    Help!

    The problem is most likely one of codecs. The converter doesn't like either the video or audio codec of the source. I have an AMV converter that has the same issue. I am fortunate that mine will accept avs (avisynth) files, so I can usually knock up a small script to load the video. You could try this first. If your converter won't accept an avisynth script, you might try converting the video and audio to something the converter will accept.

    Start by posting a g-spot screenshot of the offending video.
