How to know input video file charateristics in Nero

A lot of folks must be using nero; so maybe i can expect some help in regard of the above issue

When i input a video file to make a DVD or export it in another format etc - how do i know thew input file characteristocs such as frame size, frame rate etc from within Nero.

If not possible from within Nero which utility can give me these details so that i can set my export charateristics

g-spot or media info would be best, but there are others.

Can it be done from inside Nero - don't know. There are so many programs that do what Nero does, but are free and do them much better than Nero does, that I haven't had to use Nero in years.
