  1. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before, or this is the wrong section.

I created a BD MPEG with PCM audio using Ulead Videostudio, but when I play it the audio doesn't play at all. I also tried creating an HDDVD MPEG with PCM audio, but when I tried to play it the audio is very scratchy and the video studders a bit. This is using Windows Mediaplayer. I also noticed I couldn't convert either of these MPEGs using TMPGEnc, it just gives an unrecognizable file error.

Is some sort of codec or different type of player required to play these MPEGs? They are 1920x1080 60i with PCM audio. I have a Phenom 9750, so I assume it's not a speed issue.

  2. Just to clarify, Ulead Videostudio exports an MPEG-4 suitable for use on a BD or HDDVD disc (1920x1080 60i PCM) but the result is not (yet) in BD format. But for some reason, I can't play the MPEG-4...cleanly anyway. Do I need a codec to play the MPEG-4 properly with Mediaplayer or why would it not play correctly?

  4. Strangely enough, the video plays ok, but the audio is silent or scratchy. Is LPCM non-standard?

  5. lpcm is in the hd&br specs, it shouldn't be any problem.
