Can anyone help I am using TMPGEnc to convert avi to mpeg format.
about 11% of the way I get a message that says Illegal floating error and conversion stops
Is there a better way to convert with TMPGEnc. I want to burn in VCD format????

I had the same thing happen to me. what i did was i saved the first part of the file when the error happened and then started it again a few frames after the error. this will give you 2 files and you can join them. this is the only way i know to fix the problem.

Sorry for bring up a dead topic. But how do I make tmpgenc start after the error?

load your saved project into tmpgenc (you did save it?), click on the 'settings' button, then on the 'advanced' tab. one of the filters is source range (or something like that) double-click it and set the start frame to the frame after the crash and the end frame to the last frame.Originally Posted by discomega
