  1. I have just installed Nero on my Win ME system, and it didn't like it. It installed everything fine, and the speed checks and editors all work, but the actual Nero program itself hangs when i try to launch it.

I have removed the program, and removed all other burning software i had on (i did have WinOnCD5.0, and Adaptec CD Creator). I also removed DirectCD. On trying and re-trying, Nero still hung when i tried to launch the program. It is Nero 5 which i am trying to install. My CD-Writer is a Freecom x16, and given me no trouble. What would you recommend downloading or adjusting on my PC to get over this problem?

there are files you must manually delete to get rid of directcd completely, go to the ahead site and look under support, it will tell you the files to get rid of, another easier way is to run msconfig, go to startup tab and look for directcd and uncheck it.
