I am looking for advice with converting DVD to DivX and or Xvid. I have read around but can only find old posts years old and 32 bit options.

I already have ripping programs so I just need a conveting program but if the good prrograms have a ripper built in that is no problems.
I have an Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad core 2.53G with 8G of ram running WIndows 7 64bit.

    Any Ideas would be great?

This discussion thread would seem to indicate that fairusewizard worked on 64bit systems. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=36160

Thanks Hatetea58 and Ai Haibara. Have given xvid4psp a try and that seems ok but I cant work out how to tell it to split a file at a certain size ( like encode at a set quality and break the file once each part gets to 700mb etc) maybe someone knows how to do it in this program?

I know you can do it with Virualdub, Virtualdubmod and nandub. Just open it in that program. Open your video file (or drag it onto the window). Click Video, Direct Stream Copy. Then Save As, and there is a Segment ouput file box and the option under it for filesize limitation
