    Hello all,

I've been trying to use Gordian Knot Rippack 0.35.0 to convert my avi files to Xvid 1.1.3, but for some reason, Gordian Knot simply won't read the avi's with the codecs that I use and I was hoping that someone could give me some advice on which lossless codecs as a source video work well with Gordian Knot.

I have several videos encoded with the CineForm codec, which is a very good codec, however Gordian Knot won't read the file correctly if at all. For instance, a 30 minute video is read as only about 00:03:41 (hh:mms) and doesn't display any video.

I tried converting part of the video to HuffYUV 2.2.0 and Lagarith 1.3.14, but Gordian Knot still won't read the videos at all.

I want to use Gordian Knot to convert to Xvid because it can encode the video in 2 pass mode.

Also, here are some more specs on the video:
    FPS: 23.976
    Resolution: 1280x720
    Aspect Ratio: 1.778 (16:9)

Any advice/help on this is greatly appreciated,
    Thanx for now,
    Cheers,
    ziggy1971 8)

P.S. Although Gordian Knot won't read the files, VirtualDubMod 1.5.10 reads them just fine and Gordian Knot uses VirtualDubMod. I'm confused!!!

You might try WinFF. Does an excellent job converting to Xvid and has a 2 pass mode.

Have you tried AutoGK instead? You also need to check the read me file, at least for AutoGK I know you need to use specific versions of xvid (or take extra steps during the installation).
