Need help with Pinnacle studio pctv rave

When I capture video with this card I get over 50% dropped
frames. Even when I try to capture 352*288 I get about 25% dropped frames. I have an Amd Duron 900mhz and 40g hd(dma 100,7200rpm) and 256mb ram(133mhz). If there is some way to capture without dropping frames I would like to know it.

Hi. I've just bought a Pinnacle PCTV Rave card, and so far I've had no problems, just last night I captured an episode of the X-Files (42 min) with 6 dropped frames out of 68000.

Well, what kind of capturing program do you use and what video-codec?
(I used Virtual Dub 1.4c and the PicVideo 2.0 video codec!)

I suggest that you try that program and codec. If you already have tried, well....
