Your a jumpy one ... never know when you'll pop up .

Yes , not a problem for that device .

Yes , got the message , and replied , just its really , really ... really early here and most get some sleep soon .

You need a conversion cable (rca to stereo headphone jack) , which will connect the audio out from device , and connect to pc's linein only .

Depending on what caps program you have , you need to set the audio recording device to onboard sound device , linein .
Make sure its not set to "mute" in audio configuration panle on pc .

Double click yellow pc icon in system tray near clock .
    Select options
Select properties from drop down menu
    Select recording option chech box
    Check linein .
    Click ok
Check linein is not checked (muted)
    Close audio control .

If you can already see the video on pc screen I need not explain that part .

Depending on you pc specs (speed wise) , and you caps program , you must select form the following .

    Pal or nstc
Resolution such as for pal full d1 (720x576) , nstc (720x480)
You might even need to specify the frame rate , pal at 25 , nstc general at 29.97 ... check the glossary for exact fps .

You then need to decide if its going to be recorded into avi (using a suitable compressor) , or mpeg (either 1 or 2) .

Once you have that sorted , its time to run some system caps .

Get tv playing on pc , and cap it .

    after a short period , stop .

You might want virtualdub and or gspot , to determine the true fps recorded within avi caps ... some programs are inferior at being accurate when it comes to capped fps .

If caps feel short , the you need to revise method .

Either lower recording res , or change compressor and its settings , then try again .

Once the system is able to record in the required fps , and stay there , you have found only 1 of the ideal setups which can be used , there may be others which might provide better quality , and less fps drop issues .

    Mpeg is another thing .

    ----

See how you go , and Ill catchup , after I have caught up with some zzz's .

Im off to crash ... I seem to do that more often , than a pc dose .
