1 part of my job is file conversion and creating links, and I received a request to convert a WMV to .MOV - DVCPro_NTSC. When I drag the file into Sorenson Squeeze, I receive this error:

"Unable to add the source file(s). The following file(s) are not supported." And then it lists the name of the file I tried to drag in there. Below is info on the WMV file.

    File Type: Windows Media Audio/Video
    Bit Rate: 5435 kbps
    Dimensions: 720X480
    Size: 55.3 MB

When i try to open the WMV it wouldnt play and I received an error message saying I was missing the WVC1 codec. I had the IT guys install WMV11 and or that codec because now I can view the files but I still can't bring the WMV into Sorenson Squeeze. If more info is needed on the WMV, please let me know how I can find it.

If this is on a mac, you will need to buy WMV Studio from
Flip 4 Mac, and you can do it natively in QT Pro.

Done it a couple of times, works fine.

I don't know what the problem is, but I couldnt drop the file into Sorenson Squeeze on the PC and Episode on the Mac didn't like the file either but I opened it with MPEG Streamclip and that did work. I then exported to MOV with the DVCPro NTSC setting.
