    I'm looking for a piece of webcam software that is pretty advanced. It needs to have a lot of settings on picture and video formats/resolution/bitrate etc.

    I've already tried Watcher and WebcamXP Pro 2007 but they were too simple.

    Do you have any recommendations? Please don't mention WMM.

    Maybe it will work with a capturing tool like iuVCR

    Forgot to mention that I'm using Vista. Installation failed.

    Did you use 'Run as administrator' to install? If that fails, I would also try 'Compatibility mode'. That's in a R click menu in 'Properties' when you select the program installer. 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)' mode may work.
