I just bought Final Cut Pro Studio 2 and I have a friend who is helping me edit some footage. I was wondering if I would be able to share all the software so that he can edit at home as well? Would this pose any problems for me since I shelled out the $1300. + tax and don't want to get in trouble with it?
Thanks much.

THE EULA for the software clearly states your options.
to wit:
if this was a single license purchase, it should state that it is
for (1) single computer ONLY.
The software also sends a registration file to Apple upon installing.
If one of you have a problem in FCS and have to contact Apple,
you'll have some serious explaining to do, as Pro Care support
will ask you to compile and send an archive of logs for FCP,
which will include the computer's MAC address. If this doesn't
match what's in the registration file, .....you may be denied help
with your issue.
Why not just install the software on a dedicated edit station,
portable or desktop, and whoever has the most time to
edit, takes the station for the spin ( and if using a portable mac)
takes it home to work on it?"Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?
