    Ok,

    Here is what I have...

    800 Duron
    256 Meg Ram
    20 Gig HD
    Win98SE
3dfx VooDooTV 100 PCI TV Card
    Virtual Dub
    Built in audio on MB
    TNT2 32 meg video card

My problem is that I can not get sound when capturing from VDub. I have an audio cable (like the ones that come with a cd unit) that hooks from the tv card to the CD1 input on the mother board.

When I am watching it, I can hear it, but when I try to capture, no sound.

I think VDub is trying to use the line in channel and not the cd channel for the audio.

Can I change the audio source in VDub? Has anyone else had this problem? HELP!!

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Well i had the same problem. I could hear the audio WHILE capping, but it wasnt in the capped video. I did have the sound on the motherboard too. I tried opening the sounds level window, and made sure the mute box wan't checked, and made sure the level was turned up. I would check all this first. I never did get my sound to capture with V-dub, so i went and got a pci soundcard(soundblaster live), and after that, it worked perfectly!
So be sure to check all of your sound settings, and also check the recording settings in your sound level window. If not, then pick up a pci soundcard, i'd bet money that it will work. I'm not sure that this is your exact problem, but check your audio connections from your tv card and your input on the MB. V-dub seems to be very pickey when it comes to the audio input.

    My config:
    700 MHZ duron
    320 MB ram
    20 G HD
    40G HD for capping
    VIA chipset
    windows ME
    soundblaster live sound card

go to options -properties- recording-OK look if the line in is selected if not click and select .
    Then close all
