  1. Hi, im kinda new to these things, i just red all i need to combine the sub to an avi using an VirtualDubMod but my problem is after saving the file to a new avi, the video is jumping every second. this is wha i did using VirtualDubMod

    Open the AVI file
    Video>Filter>Subtitles>Add the ssa file
    Hit F7 (saving the file)

and after encoding the video is like jumping or rather skipping some of the frames almost every sec. and its not playing smoothly unlike without the subtitle.

should i change or tweak something?

    Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have re-encoded the video at a different framerate to what it was originally. Use G-Spot or similar to find out what the framerate of the source is, and use the same framerate when you re-encode.

Well simply following the instructions as outlined above you would get RAW RGB24 which being quite large may not playback smoothly. If you were saving it raw because you were planning on re-encoding, I would suggest that you instead frameserve via AVISynth.
