I have been making some slideshows and burning them to DVD. I love doing it, but sometimes have problems with TV playback. I think part of the problem is a lack of understanding about the burn process and settings I should be using. For example, burn speeds, what does it mean to finalize? What is ISO and 'generate disk image on the fly'. Can anyone suggest a good source for getting better educated?

Yes, you are digitally standing right in the middle of it.
Check some of the guides and how-to's on the left, these have been refined and improved over time, and represent the collective knowledge of many users.
Here is the example I use. You are standing in front of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Library. You want info about Abraham Lincoln. Do you ask questions of random passers-by, or enter the Library and start reading?
