  1. I am using DIVX convertor 6.6.1 to convert the MPEG2 files to divx. letteing the standard "home theator" setting. The mpeg2 input files are always PAL resolution.
But when i load them in the convertor i says that the video's have another resolution?? And when i want to make the output resolution to PAL resolution it doesn't work. I can type the resoltuion in but when i go to the next field it changes back to mostly 720 * 528.

So i choose the: use custom resolution and want to change it to PAL but this isn't working why is that, why can't i change the resolution and why is he choosing the wrong input resoltuion?

  2. What do you want to encode it as? 720x576, maybe? You do realize that'll give you an incorrect aspect ratio don't you? Are you planning on having your player straighten it out?

  3. Hi,

    I want to make it 720 * 576 (PAL resolution). Maybe i am mistaken but all the dvd's i make are 720 * 576.

But now i am converting the dvd's to divx avi so i can put 4-5 movies on 1 dvd and play them in the car on the dvdplayer wich supports divx avi. I have tested this with 2 divx avi and when i put the disc with the avi in the car it shows the avi's and then i can select them and play them. This is what i want with 5 movies on 1 dvd.

But why can't i change the aspect ration to 720 * 576? Is this not nessesairy?
