I'm currently using Datastream Professional DVD-RW to temporarily store my videos in DVD format. I plan to do this with my "home" footage for 12 months. Then burn it all to a DVD-R and mark it 2007, etc.
While this DVD-RW works seamlessly in my $100 DVD player, it has serious problems in a friends good quality Pioneer player - where every few seconds, sections of the screen freeze momentarily before moving on. I've had this problem with some Verbatim DVD-R's as well that I burned for two different weddings (though in those cases, the problem appeared also on my player).
Someone recently replied to me & said this is due to poor quality DVD's. If this is correct, can someone tell me what is the best brand to buy? It's incredibly frustrating to burn it & find a problem like this is ruining my work!

"Datastream Professional DVD-RW" is apparently a no-name brand using bullshit puffy marketing terms to bamboozle buyers. It's not professional. It's not even decent, according to some things I see online. It uses any number of less-than-best discs, and some of them look to possibly even be cast-off graded or outright fakes.Want my help?
