  1. Please give the latest news on a freeware application which will
    convert a dvd to avi.

    I would prefer a tool that starts with 'put the dvd you want to make an
    avi of in the drive now.'


    Sorry, but I see way too much complication with this stuff yet.

    After I put the disk in the drive I want to find an avi file someplace on the
    hard drive with good compression.

    My OS is Win2k.


    I've seen the shareware tools, hacks and cracks and all the rest. This has
    to be a click and go solution.

    Hasanything been developed in the freeware market like this of late?

    The best free dvd to avi tools are autogk and fairuse wizard. But they aren't any one click solutions.

    If you want one click soluitions you must probably use some shareware tool out there.

  3. Fair Use Wizard looks to be a good tip....

    Has a manual coming out at some point and the 700mb limit should
    be within range of my project.


    I have never seen this tool before and it didn't come up on Google.
