Hello,
I want to import some scenes from a miniDVD[shot with Sony camera]. Can I import vob files directly in Premier Pro 2[audio+video] or do I have to encode vob files into eg. avi files?Do I have to deinterlace the scenes? How?
Thenx very much...

Have you tried to import a VOB? If you can't, you'll have to use one of the many frameservers available. If you get the VFAPI plug-in, you can use DVD2AVI or Virtualdub to frameserve the VOB. Once imported, you don't need the VOB anymore. Check out the tools and many guide available here.

get MPEGstreamclip, use it to convert your DVD footage into DV AVI files, work with them from there. That's what we do and I work for a studio.
