  1. I have a xms dvd player that has no problem playing Karaoke vcds that are format 2.0 but it won't play CDDA ones. It will play the music but not the graphics so that means you don't get the words of the song. Is there any way I could be able to get the video working?
Can the format CDDA be changed to vcd 2.0? I have a burner and have had no problems burning vcds before.
    Thanks for any help,

  2. CD-DA refers to ordinary audio CDs -- they don't contain any graphics.

Perhaps you are refering to CD-G?? Very few DVD players would support this format.

  3. Thanks for the reply Michael,

CDDA is what comes up on the tv screen when the disc goes in the dvd, on the front of the cd it states compact disc + graphic. In the computer it does just show up like a normal music cd, looks like there will be no Karaoke with these cds...lol

    Thanks anyway

  4. I have an APEX 600A and a copied CDDA Karaoke disc that also only plays the audio. I was told it was a copy from a CD-G. Maybe it wasnt. The Apex 600A is built with Karaoke function, but maybe it only works with CD-G and furthermore is there a special way to copy a CD-G? I have yet to try one, but I will post back later.

  6. I tried an orginial CDG karaoke disc and only get CDDA.
The website manual says it only supports VCD karaoke and DVD karaoke. So CDG wont work.

  8. I believe that the old CD-i players do...

VCD Karaoke is very different from CD+G.
