Im using VirtualDub MPEG2 to take a DVD-RAM VRO file (motorcycle races) and want to output it to an AVI or any other type of compressed file so that I am able to re-burn it to DVD later on when I have multiple files.
What settings should I be using with VirtualDub MPEG2 to get a good quality video but on a small file?
Is there a comparisson table between codec/filetype/size/quality?
Right now I tryied Divx 6.5 codec at setting 8 and out of a 1.4gb VRO (2 episodes), each episodes comes out at 1 GB each.
I would like to drop this down closer to 400-500mb...
Thanks

I don't think VirtualDub MPEG2, can handle VRO files....
I believe TMPGenc DVD Author does!!!
