    I plan on recording some concerts with my mp3 player. how long could i record for at 512 mb 160 kb. how much time would the track be.

    This is probably to simplistic, but 512MB divided by 160kb/s gives me about 7 hours. But let's see what others come up with.

    160Kb\sec = 20KB\sec

    512MB = 524288KB

    524288/20 = 26214 sec = 436 min 54 sec = 7 hours 16 min 54 sec ... or thereabouts
    If in doubt, Google it.
