    Hello
I've tried a few programs that manipulate MP3 tags, and pretty much all of them can change any particular field (e.g. album name) on many MP3s at once. However, what I need is to be able to automatically number tracks in succession in a selection of a large number of MP3s at once. For example, I'd simply type a "1" in the track field of the MP3 at the top of the list, and the program would automatically number all the rest, in succession, to the end of the list.
What I'm doing now is going down the list and manually numbering tracks one by one...
Any suggestions as to what program does this?
    Thanks.

The GodFather can do that. I just checked. I usually use WinAmp and a plug-in called 'Playlist Unpacker', it'll take a WinAmp playlist, add 'PL001, PL002,...PLxxx' to it and copy the resulting files to a new directory, without changing the originals.

Note that you want to use "01", "02" etc. as opposed to "1". Numbered files are sorted as if they had a decimal point before them. "2" is greater than 11 so would show up after it.
