Hope someone can help me: In DVD-Lab i get no Audio on the main movie as soon as I add a slide show to the project. Without the slide show everything works fine. Looking at the final project there is a ac3 audio file on the DVD, but no sound. The sound in the slide show works fine.

    Appreciate any assistance

    Which version of DLP ?
Do you have one or multiple VTS's ?
If it is a single VTS project, is the audio format the same for the menu, the movie and the slideshow ?

Thanks for replying. I am using ver 2.2. It's a single VTS project with different audio formats (probably where the problem is or?) The movie is a ac3 file demuxed from Premiere Elements and the slide show file is a .wav file. No audio on menu.

Different audio formats mean multi VTS authoring. DLP should have given you a warning at compile time.

    The simplest solution ?

Encode everything to AC3 and drop a few seconds of AC3 audio on the menu. If you don't have an AC3 encoder, ffmpeggui is pretty good.

Because the spec says separate VTS's are required, most players will take the first audio as being the format for that titleset, and only play audio of that type. Usually this comes form the first menu, or the first title with audio

Did you get a warning message when you went to compile your project?

Try putting them in different VTS's -- that should resolve the issue...

EDIT -- ooops, I didn't see guns' post -- sorry
