helo, u guys must help me out, please..
    here is the situation,
i wanted to burn 700mb avi into a dvd using avi2dvd,
at encoder setting, i pick HCEnc ,
    profile : best
    matrix : mpeg
after hours of encoding, the ISO is created..
everything looks fine until the movie played,
i put english subtitle (only 2 options> off, and english)
when i choose the subtitle english, this what happens:
the subtitle is sync with the movie, it appeared right when it should be,
    but not all the subtitles,

    EX:
    A says : hi
    B says : hi there
    C says : im encoding a movie
    D says : me too
    E says : i'm using avi2DVD
F says : yeah, we all use it

subtitle A will appear, B will not, and then C appeared, D appeared, E appeared, F not

i'm not sure if it has some patterns but the point is some subtitle is missing,
this is what i put on my subtitle setting
subtitle format : *.TXT (DVD SUBTITLE SYSTEM), can't put *.srt coz it will not sync
    character set : ISO8859-15
    language : english
    font face : arial.ttf
    font size : 24

    >i also have the ntsc to pal conversion box checked<
    >aspect ratio is 16/9<

now, the second problem is with the ISO size, at the output i picked DVD5 (4.7 GB)
but the image file that it created is 4.9 GB, when i tried to burn them, of coz the space is not enough so i can't burn em.

The video quality is superb, and the menu is generated perfectly, but theres only 2 problems
    1. the subtitle
    2. the size of the image file

should i use different encoder settings, and how do i correct the subtitle problem?
i wanted the result to be DVD quality movie with all the space in the DVD used, not like only 1-2gb of an image size, that would be a waste.

so, im beggin y'all, please help meeee.....

You can use dvdshrink to correct the image size issue.

The most likely culprit of the subtitle sync issue, is the fact that you converted from NTSC to PAL.

hmm.. i'm using PAL tv, is it okay if i didn't check the ntsc to pal conversion box?
how to know whether the original avi file is NTSC or PAL?

oh, i just hope it will solve the subtitle problem, its driving me crazy coz i've spent days working on this thing...
