I"m having a problem converting some avi file/files to dvd. I'm following this"Basic Guide How to Convert AVI Files to DVD with Avi2DVD" to the "T". I have had excellent success on 5 earlier trys with single avi file, but on one of my converts the it with through all the process and when it was done, PowerDVD couldn't find the video_ts file. I look at the temp file and it is half the size it should be for a dvd file. I can burn the file in nero and it will play on my dvd player and excellent picture but no sound. I can play the same file in nero showtime and it has picture and sound. My question is why does it work someti? here is some picture of the file I'm using, maybe you can see something I don't.
    Thanks

Well your pics seem to indicate a multiple AVI source. Are they all part of one video?

Yes, it is a movie from 2 cd's and is the same movie that I downloaded. avi2dvd also created a joined avi file, that does the same as I mention above. I'm new at this, but trying to learn.

Well why don't you join the 2 AVIs first, and see how it goes. You could then use GSpot to see if the length etc., all seem correct.

With Vdub MP3 freeze or Surround.

You can also join with AVI-Mux GUI
