noob here...be gentle!
internet video links in WMP 9.0, IE 6, and Firefox are scrambled...all red green and yellow. What is the problem?
I figure it is probably something simple!

They all use DirectShow, so a bad DirectShow filter/codec is the prime suspect. You didn't by any chance install some codec pack?

when the problem started...no, i had not installed a pack.
after the problem started, i installed K'lite, which seemed to clear up the problem, for a bit. Now it's back. I uninstalled K-lite, and the problem persists.
How might i fix it? -
At times like this, some magic involving quartz.dll is often suggested. Search this site for it.
