  1. My situation - I had my dvd burning humming good for several years simple process WinAvi worked like a charm zero problems - long story short my computer took a dump so I am starting over on a new setup. Installed WinAvi 10 and its updated enough to where its pretty new to me - thought I had all the settings the same - but my output files that used to be approx 4 GB are now around < 3 GB and what used to take me an hour to convert with WinAvi now takes approx 10 minutes. Thats good but I think something is off I am losing a gig of files.

My question am I doing something wrong, is my quality off since its not the usual 4 GB? Any help appreciated or if someone can recommend another program that might work better.

But have you compared the quality? The file size may not be that important.

Or maybe time try other dvd converters like the FREE AVSTODVD!
