I know this can be done with FCP and Avid Xpress... capturing a video clip as one whole piece, then FCP/Avid makes sub-clips of it at every cut without splitting the avi into new files on the hd.
Can I capture a whole DV tape to one avi in Premiere without using scene detect, then split it into sub-clips at every film cut? I don't want to do it manually or use other third-party programs. Suggestions? I'm curious if this is doable...
