  1. Hi,

Is it possible to detect a precise frame with a scene detector tool like ComSkip.

In a video I recorded, I got some errors from my decoder ("weak signal") so it display a small red dot in the bottom right of the screen.

It's a pain to look at whole video frame by frame. So it is possible to detect that point and mak the beggining frame of each siganl cut ?

I saw that comskip use tv channel logo but it it possible to tell it a special area where to look for a special logo/shape ?

    Thanks

If you can make a logo.txt (logo mask) file that specifies where and in what directions the pixel transitions should be looked for then comskip will process and calculate for every frame the match with the logo mask.

Use a regular recording with logo to have comskip learn and generate the logo.txt file and then edit the file so it can be used to recognize the red dot

  5. I do some other test, when the logo is bugger it is found, but the logo mask is not easy to edit.

Here is a sample image when there is a signal lost:

The position/range of detection is easy to edit the how to build the logo mask ????

I do a sample video with a red rectangle to simulate a logo (I put the following values, width=48pixels, height=24pixels, left=620 pixels, top=36pixels)

After analysis, I got the following mask:

So, how can I edit it to scan for the red dot in my sample image ?

    Thanks
