I use dbpoweramp which is excellent for MP3/FLAC/APE (11-band equalizer). Used it for a year. Sometimes when I open up any file (jgp, avi, etc.) or a Windows folder dbpoweramp stops for a second. Started happening a few mths ago. Is this because of not enought RAM or virtual memory? I have 768 MB RAM and 1250 MB virtual memory. I have upgraded versions of dbpoweramp but dbpoweramp people say there shouldn't be any bugs, etc. I usually multi-task all the time, too and don't have any problems with applications.

    Windows XP SP2
    Athlon XP 2700 Thoroughbred

  2. Well it seems that you have enough RAM and I cant imagine that dBpowerAMP would need that much anyway. Is 768 MB of RAM actually free or is it just the total amount you have installed? The reason I ask is that other apps, like at system startup could be hogging most of your installed memory leaving little for other programs.

Have you already uninstalled and reinstalled or posted this issue on the forum?

It might be that your operating system is playing you up if others dont complain of the same issue you described.
