    Hi guys I have sky+ and I was just wondering what I would need to capture some of my fav series' and other programs on to my laptop.

    Like I said I have sky+ and I have a laptop. What else do I need guys? Also is there a guide anywhere showing me how to capture pdtv?

    You need a capture or TV card. You then feed the output of your Sky+ receiver box into the card.

    Laptops are not the most suitable equipment for real time TV capture, you are going to need a USB capture box.

    You also need to tune your receiver to the desired channel, this is due to the fact that you will not be able to instruct the USB to do this operation.

    I capture the Sky Digital channels using a skystar 2 card, a phoenix smartmouse and progdvb.

    Because he has a laptop, that rules out the Skystar 2.
