    Hey guys,

I hope you can help me with this.

I have downloaded a few video files from Limewire and am having trouble transferring them from onto dvd to play on my dvd player. I have tried a whole bunch of software(divx converter, cucusoft, dvd santa), but none of them seem to work.

    Any ideas???

What file extension do the files have?

As thecrock said, what is the format of the videos?

If you want to play these videos on a DVD player you need to get them a format that your dvd player will recognize. Typically a DVD-Video type format that consists of your standard VOB files.

Note: some DVD players will play regular mpeg files that are burned on a finalized, data DVD or CD disc.

For example, I have some video files that are in the AVI format. These files need to be converted to a DVD Video format. I converted them to MPEG-2 format then used a DVD authoring program to generate the necessary VOB files. After that I used a DVD burning program to burn a DVD and now those videos will play on my DVD player.

    Hope that helps.

House MD is available for purchase. Stealing videos is a crime punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
