  1. Does PYRO A/V Link capture @ 29.97fps? Does it also export at 29.97fps (analog)?

  2. You can set it up for pal or ntsc. Some programs can use it for live editing preview as well. Tools like Studio 10 and Liquid edition 6 and Avid Liquid 7..

  3. Still doesn't answer to my original question.

BTW, will use Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0. The only reason I am looking into buying PYRO A/V Link over the ADVC-110 is because the Canopus is $300 while ADS Tech is half of that plus including software. Plan on using firewire instead USB. Capturing will be from Sony Hi8 camcorder and some VHS. Results would be VHS and DVD.

I haven't bought a burner software yet, probably will endup with Nero 6 or 7.

"Convert analog video to DV or DV to analog "

    They really mean 29.97fps.

I thought I did, anyhow, ntsc is 29.7 unless your talking NTSC film. The Pyro will export via svideo, composite and component out as well.

I would prefer this model, since it's square (unlike the "dome" on the PYRO A/V Link). But, I need to watch my budget (I am building a AM2 system as of this time).

  7. I would check out www.videoguys.com, they were selling the av pyro in a bundle. I purchased mine from circuit city a while ago for $100... I have no complaints. I also use a pinnacle movie box deluxe as well which I got for $40.
