Whenever I open a .psd file with Photoshop CS2 (9.0.2) the machine reboots itself.

I just open the file and then it reboots. What the heck is going on here?

Is there a way I can check all the drivers on my machine to see if anything is not right?

Hmm... I'm not sure if PSD files can be corrupted, but there's always the chance you could have a bad/corrupt file. Rather than load Photoshop into memory to check it, you can try a smaller viewer capable of loading PSDs, like IrfanView.

  7. Which OP System are you using?

WinXP has a default setting, which makes it reboot in case a program or a file creates difficulty and tries to lock up the machine. You turn off this auto reboot feature. And then try again.
