I know how to fix broken avi-files with VirtualDubMod but I'm looking for a way to do it from the commandline.
I'm not sure as to do this, do I need to create some sort of script, if so how?
I dont't need anything advanced, just to:
* Load the video
* Scan for errors
* Delete or mask bad frames

DivFix++ has a command line syntax. http://sourceforge.net/projects/divfixpp

Ok, so I've been playing around with DivFix++ and it seemes to fix it to some degree.
When I scan the fixed file in VirtualDubMod it seemes fine but I still have a problem.
The thing is that the file has a packed bitstream and I'm trying to unpack it with MPEG4 Modifier
and it couldn't open the original file, I got:
"This is not a valid MPEG-4 Video (Startcode not found at begining of frame)"
''Too many VOPs in a frame.''
"you will get this if there are more than 2 VOPs in a AVI frame. Usually there is only one, or 2 for each packed frame when packed bitstream was used."
When I disable that error-check in MPEG Modifier the file unpack and plays just fine so I got to wonder in which application the error lies.
