  1. This is really simple I bet.... Using VIRTUAL DUB by the way
    I have a .avi file..and I want to strip the last 64 frames from the end.
    I load the file up and highlight it on the bottom grid thingy from the
    start of the file to the frame where I want it to end . so far so good.
    But when I go onto the file options to save the selected strip .. there
    are a few save options . .. "save as avi" "save stripped avi" etc .
    Whichever I try it does not save the file correctly... either saving it
    into lots of little files until I run out of space or into one big avi...
    and I mean BIG ! If I let it finish it will run into hundreds of gigs !!
    How do I save it into an normal avi of standard size?
    Or perhaps there is another avi editor I should be using?

    After you set the start and end frame, go to Edit>cut>then save

  4. File -> Open Video File
    Mark-in, Mark-out
    Video -> Direct Stream Copy
    Files -> Save as AVI

  6. ok.. sorted that one I think ! thanks to all the above
    I bet you can solve this answer my other query without starting a new thread.

    The avi in question is slightly out of sync on the audio. I have seen a post about the clip which says :
    "running through vdub at plus 100ms looks fine to me now however."

    So I have my avi loaded.. can anyone give me an idiots guide to moving the audio slightly as described in the quote?
