I have a training file that I downloaded from the Internet that I want to edit as it is incomplete. It is a .exe file that opens up with Macromedia Flash. Is there any way I can edit this without spending a bundle on software? Thanks...

A hex editor can edit any kind of file. Will it work after your edits? Only if you have a really deep understanding of the exe you're doing brain surgery to.

On the other hand, what does this have to do with video?

My thought too, but as this .exe "opens up with Macromedia Flash" it may be video related.

good point. it is video as it does open with Flash. I was hoping to find a video editor so that I could cut out some areas of the video. any ideas?

it is a presentation with 48 frames and audio. I simply need to delete the 48th frame of this presentation which runs by itself just like a avi file would. ugh, no good at brain surgery so that hex editor won't help me. what do you think?

Don't know if there are any free Flash editors (doubt it) but maybe it can be converted into something editable?
Worst case - Play it, and "screen capture" it to AVI.
