  1. I use to make my travel photos into executable (*.exe) video slideshows until internet video sharing became easy. Now I make them into wmv file. Problem is, I have a number of the old exe files that I would like to make into common format video files. (I no longer have the programs that were used to make the exe files.)
Is there any way to do this?

Unless you tell us the details (for example what app you used to create those exes), there will only be guesswork. There's no general "exe to video" converter.

    What were the programs?

If they were indeed executable slideshows created from your pictures, it's probably likely that they weren't videos, just collections of pictures and an EXE that handled the slideshow and effects. In that case, your best bet would be to use a video capture utility (like Camstudio, FRAPS, etc.) and capture a video of the slideshow while it's running.

  4. I used ACD FotoAngelo 2.0 Slideshow to make my slides into an exe file on about three occasions, and Proshow Gold on a couple of others.
I think I'll try the Camstudio program per the last suggestion.
