In nero 5.5 there is a avi to mpg converter, all you have to do is drag the avi file on to a new vcd layout, click write cd and it will begin to convert and then burn. Has anyone gone through with this process? How is the quality as compaired to TMEPG encoder? How long does it take? I am sure all of us would love hear this information from someone who is willing to try it.

My experience is bad in using Nero's encorder (.avi to .mpg) to make a VCD. I get blocks noise with some .avi configurations. Really, I didn't like the final result.
I heard in this forum the same for some people.
TMPEG is the best in my opinion.
Nero and TMPEG take equal time.
    I hope help you.

  3. I found the AVI to Mpeg in Nero is very bad. Alot of blockness. I also use TMPeg mostly but Ulead Video Stideo 5.0 looks good also but mainly use that for avi splitting and joining because of no loss in sound sync.
