    OK, here is the story.

Proggie has been working 100% for ages now, but the other week I downloaded an avi (xvid) file. Tried to convert to DVD and program froze at 4.1%. Ive since done a complete re-install of windows thinking that may be the problem but no, its not.

Every time I run it, it freezes at different points (latest was 27%). When i go into task manager, the CPU useage for this program and the fffmpg assosiated with it is 00. System idel is 99/98.

Ive uninstalled it/reinstalled it, and still the same.

I'm now gonna attempt to edit the registry to the same values as my other pcs with this great program. Will post the results soon.

Ive also checked the file and that is not the problem.

ANY help would be greatful. - TIA

It works 100% on all other PCs. Ive just got all the dust outa the heatsink and installed another case fan (2 in total now). Im running a program called speedfan which tells me the temp inside the case. 2 points are at 62 deg c, so I think that i may need to install new heatsink & fan/get some of that thermal paste one of the threads talked about. Let you know the outcome in a couple of days.
