  1. Has anyone had ANY success with MSU's new logo removing filter? From the tests they show, it works great, but I have not had ANY success with it at all here.

If anyone has been able to achieve success with this filter, please post your results here.

The newest version of the filter can be downloaded here:

I have had good success with Delogo on Alpha Blended logos, but not on the solid logos.

I have found it better than the other delogo filters-once the area of the logo is marked as accurately as possible. I prefer putting a logo of my own if the original is too destracting

  6. How are you marking the area of the logo? When you say "marked", do you mean telling the filter where the logo is? If so, how are you figuring out where that area is?

    Thanks!

I tried this filter a year or so ago, and I had to use trial and error to get the positioning right.
Because the filtered area was a straight edged rectangular box, it was VERY intrusive on playback, worse than the logo itself. It was a bit like having a PIP within the movie.

  8. The newest version looks like it would do a good job, but has trouble making the mask if borders are black. No simple way to find the area where the logo is to tell the filter where to look.

  10. Thanks. Sure takes a while to find the correct placement. I still can't say the filter works very well yet. Will try making a mask and see if that helps. MSU needs to make it so you can turn the filter on and off, for the caps that don't have a log all the way thru.

  11. Tried making a mask, and that seems to work better, but delogo still works far better.
